Brittney Melendez, LPCC is is passionate about helping individuals navigate life's challenges while fostering meaningful personal growth. With experience in working alongside clients navigating academic, career, and personal challenges, Brittney works to facilitate healing through an attuned, collaborative relationship that is grounded in empathy and person-centered principles.
While completing her master’s training, Brittney worked in higher education counseling and child advocacy settings, supporting students, alumni, and children. With training in cognitive behavioral interventions, strengths-based approaches, and values exploration, alongside a strong interest in psychodynamic and attachment-based approaches, Brittney offers a wide set of clinical approaches to meet clients where they are, while infusing an awareness of how cultural, systemic, and developmental factors impact the therapeutic process.
Brittney believes in creating a safe therapeutic environment where clients feel deeply heard and understood. She believes that healing comes from approaching each individual with curiosity and cultural humility, and takes a trauma-informed and socially just approach that honors the unique experiences and diverse backgrounds that shape a client's worldview
